1. TEAM LEADER - MAINTENANCE PLANNING SERVICE (MPS) - 1 position
Salary Range OMR 2,210 - 3,156
Role Purpose
Leads maintenance planning section, manages maintenance planning activities and shutdown works to ensure maximum availability of plant by optimizing the cost and resource utilization.
Job Description
• Ensures that effective planning & scheduling services are provided using best maintenance practices.
• Ensures that daily planning meeting is conducted effectively & the jobs are planned/ scheduled as per the required work priority.
• Provides guidance & support to planning team to prepare short term & long term maintenance plans, schedules with sufficient resource requirements for all maintenance activities.
• Reviews the progress reports & performance indicators, and takes appropriate action and coordinates with concerned teams to catch-up for lagging areas.
• Provide guidance & support for follow up of material requisitions with respective functions and escalates the problematic areas with the concerned teams.
• Takes lead & communicates with operation, TSD, HSE and other departments for coordination of complex maintenance jobs.
• Provided inputs for development of maintenance contracts, its administration, control and availability of resources.
• Initiates the procurement process for maintenance services & supplies by preparation of detailed scope of works and liaising with various departments.
• Involves in technical evaluation of new tenders as required and participation in kick-off meetings.
• Facilitates for estimation of required contract resources including manpower & mobile equipment.
• Coordination with contracts team leads for contractor mobilization & de-mobilization.
• Provides guidance for asset management & update of master data in SAP.
• Analyse the market trends and participate in formulating appropriate strategies to ensure most effective and economic utilization of resources.
• Ensures that teams members properly follow-up for items under procurement process, and regularly review backlog work orders waiting for material.
• Ensure timely actions are taken for all related RCA points.
Knowledge Experience & Qualifications:
• Minimum Qualifications for this position is a University degree in Mechanical Engineering or similar.
• Total experience of 12 years in maintenance planning & 4 years of relevant experience as a Team Leader role- Maintenance Planning Performance & Strategic (Oil & Gas / Petrochemical or Refinery Plant experience preferred).
• Knowledge of :
• Computerized Maintenance Management Systems (CMMS)
• Expertise in SAP- PM, MM & FM Module.
• Primavera / Maximo / MS Project

2. SR ENG MAINTENANCE PLANNING SERVICE (MPS) - 5 positions
Salary Range OMR 1,473 -2,104
Role Purpose
Provide technical expertise pertaining to maintenance planning activities and shutdown works to ensure maximum availability of plant by optimizing the cost, time & resource utilization.
Job Description
• Coordination with concerned discipline engineers to prepare detailed specifications, scope of work and ensure optimum use of resources.
• Participation in identifying & arranging maintenance works beyond in-house resources and need to be contracted out.
• Leads daily maintenance planning meetings to discuss & coordinate schedules, timing, and critical & priority work, identifying manpower and equipment requirements.
• Monitor & guide planners to prepare maintenance plans, schedules with sufficient resources requirements for all maintenance activities. Analyse the performance indicators, and recommend solutions to catch-up for lagging areas.
• Review job plans in the CMMS system giving job estimates showing sequence of steps, manpower requirements, man-hour requirements and any materials or equipment needed
• Monitors and coordinate work executor’s compliance to routine maintenance or SD planned.
• Review & adjusts planned maintenance schedules to maximize efficiency and discusses/resolves of actual time from schedule time.
• Monitor the progress of the planned maintenance activities and update contractor’s performance.
• Conduct audit backlog, update estimates, and ensure maintenance orders are charged under correct WBS/ cost centres.
• Proactively resolves issues during all phases of the schedule maintenance (including scope development & start up to completion of shutdown/maintenance activities).
• Involves in procurement process by preparation of detailed scope of works and liaising with contracts management & execution teams.
• Arranges for planning/ preparations Shutdown related for jobs. Keep the packages ready in view of materials, resources & other requirements to take-up the jobs in any opportunity.
• Ensures that all temporary & permanent solutions are being planned & executed in coordination with execution teams for the Inspection generated work requests.
Knowledge Experience & Qualifications:
• Minimum Qualifications for this position is a University degree in Mechanical Engineering or similar
• Total experience of 10 years in maintenance planning & 4 years of relevant experience as a Senior Engineer role in maintenance planning (Oil & Gas / Petrochemical or Refinery Plant experience preferred).
• Experience in contract management and preparation of technical & material specifications.
• Sound knowledge of material science, selection of materials.
• Well versed in international codes & standards such as API, ASME, ASTM, ANSI & etc.
• Exposure to engineering & design or reliability engineering functions.
• High level of understanding and hands on experience in budgeting and cost control

3. TEAN LEADER - MAINTENANCE CONTRACT - 1 position
Salary Range OMR 2,210 - 3,156
Role Purpose
Develop & lead strategic planning for contract development & parts optimization that support maintenance function to meet cost-effective, timely and efficient manner.
Job Description
• Ensure that long term rate contracts are in place to meet all maintenance out sourcing requirements
• Ensure preparation of comprehensive, detailed and accurate scope of works for tendering so that clarifications and delays are avoided
• Analyse emergency requirements in the past, prepare strategy for mobilising and deploying the resources during emergencies like plant shutdowns, breakdowns etc.
• Provide guidance and support for vendor qualification, evaluation of the bids, preparing tender board proposals, contractor meetings, mobilisation etc.
• Ensure cost efficient, optimisation of resource usage and quality selection of contractors
• Develop local contractors and service providers
• Develop alternate sources for procurement of materials and spares
• Analyse material consumption & initiate optimisation process
• Ensure timely processing of invoices and cost effective implementation of Capex projects.
• Review analysis data using the Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS).

Role Purpose
Contracts development & parts optimization that support maintenance function to meet cost-effective, timely and efficient manner.
Job Description
• Develop and provide technical clarification on contractor scopes of work, evaluate bids and provide recommendations reports
• Establishes best maintenance planning & scheduling practices & systems to optimize resources and costs
• Conduct Staff meeting, prepares summary reports and provide daily update on the execution of the maintenance contracts and projects.
• Review & update Scope of Work (SOW) from CMMS and creates Purchased Request (PR) through SAP.
• Initiate budget requirements for the section based on the scope/ volume of works.
• Prepare & maintain planned maintenance schedules & develop annual procurement plans.
• Review inventory levels of spares parts and identify quantity of spares parts to be stocked as per planned schedule maintenance.
• Ensuring equipment manufacturer’s standards, procedures and safety regulation are followed by staff and contractors.
• Proactively resolves issues during all phases of the contract cycle (including scope development & initiation and contract close out).
• Develops project codes of accounts and work breakdown structures, and recommends appropriate modifications and revisions for new work items assigned.

5. SR ENGINEER INSTRUMENTATION - 3 positions

Role Purpose
To provide professional technical advice, guidance and support to the team. Develop solutions to maintenance and quality problems of general instrumentation in Sohar plants (AP, PP, SR &SRIP).Identify opportunities of improvement, as well as assess and support improvement proposals from others.
Job Description
• Ensures availability, quality and reliability of control instruments (pressure, level, flow and temperature) in Sohar plants – comprising indicators, transmitters, controllers and control valves.
• Ensures availability, quality and reliability of Alarm instruments (pressure, level, flow, temperature, vibrations pH etc.)
• Develops specifications and scope for new instruments to be installed based on process requirements and supports execution of related projects.
• Develop and maintain guidelines and procedures for effective maintenance of instruments.
• Identify opportunities for improving process instrumentation and control loops.
• Investigate instrumentation operational problems, identify “bad actors” and provide technical reports with recommendations.
• Provide technical support for maintaining and troubleshooting of control valves, servo valves, actuators etc. failures. Identifying the root cause and suggests short and long term corrective actions
• Provide technical input for evaluation of bids related to general instrumentation.
• Identify required spare parts and inter-changeability and plans the stocking.
• Generate purchase orders, according to the department’s needs.
Requirement
• Minimum Qualifications for this position is University degree in Electrical / Electronic or Instrumentation Engineering or similar.
• Minimum 8 years’ experience, inclusive of 4 years’ relevant experience in a similar role.
• Knowledge of refinery and petrochemical plants operation.
• Knowledge of machine monitoring and protection systems.
• Experienced with various types of control valves and flowmeters.
6. SR ENG CONTROL SYSTEM (NETWORK & SYSTEM INFRASTRUCTURE) - 1 position
Salary Range OMR 1,473 -2,104
Role Purpose :
To provide specialist technical expertise, advice, guidance and support in control systems network and systems infrastructure. Provide DCS and SCADA related security solutions covering PCD, PCAD & BD integration and interfaces. Develop solutions for maintenance and quality problems of control systems infrastructure in Sohar plants (AP, PP, SR & SRIP). Identify opportunities of improvement, as well as assess and support improvement proposals from others.
Job Description
• Ensures availability, quality and reliability of industrial automation network and systems infrastructure in Sohar plants – comprising Distributed Control System (DCS), Emergency Shut Down (ESD) system and complex PLC-based control loops.
• Ensures DCS and SCADA cyber security related development and support activities progress consistently in Sohar Plants.
• Contribute to develop methodologies and processes for improvements in control systems infrastructure related major and minor problems.
• Contribute to development of definitions for cyber security baselines on network and system components and execute deployment of baseline configuration.
• Contribute to operational security through effective and reliable network and system hardening.
• Monitors and troubleshoots integrated control system network (PCD) including zones (sub domains), DMZ and PCAD.
• Develops specifications and scope of work for new control systems network and systems infrastructure to be installed based on requirements and supports execution of related projects.
• Develops and maintains guidelines and procedures for effective configuration of controls network and systems infrastructure.
• Carries out hardware and software preventive maintenance including upgrades during planned shutdowns.
• Manages IOS strategy for all network and system components in PCD and PCAD including Firewalls, IPS, core switches, L3 switches, routers, etc.
• Plan and execute assessments, audits and intrusion / penetration test activities, generate reports based on log analysis.
• Provide technical input for evaluation of bids related to control systems network and systems infrastructure.
• Assist in detail design, project schedule, quality action plan documentation in line with international, national and Orpic standards.
• Assist in review of DCS and SCADA cyber security policy.
Knowledge Experience & Qualifications:
• Minimum Qualifications for this position is a University degree in IT or Electronic or Instrumentation Engineering or similar. CCIE R&S and ITIL V3 Expert certification is a must.
• Minimum 8 years of relevant experience in a similar role.
• Knowledge of refinery and petrochemical plants operation, controls network, network integration and cyber security platforms /solutions.
• Knowledge of process control domain and process control access domain.
• Knowledge of ISA99/ IEC 62443 standards.
• Experience in protocols suitable for monitoring applications.
7. SR ENG CONTROL SYSTEM (SYSTEM & VISUALIZATION) - 1 position

Role Purpose :
To provide specialist technical expertise, advice, guidance and support in all types of control systems front end servers, stations including virtual systems infrastructure. Provide DCS and SCADA related security solutions covering PCD, PCAD & BD integration and interfaces including virtualization and backup platforms. Develop solutions for maintenance and quality problems of control systems infrastructure in Sohar plants (AP, PP, SR & SRIP). Identify opportunities of improvement, as well as assess and support improvement proposals from others.
Job Description
• Ensures availability, quality and reliability of industrial automation Servers, Stations, Clients, HMI’s and other systems infrastructure in Sohar plants – comprising Distributed Control System (DCS), Emergency Shut Down (ESD) system and PLC based control systems.
• Ensures OEM Storage Area Network (SAN) technologies (IBM, Dell or EMC) and SAN fabric technologies (FC, iSCSI) are engaged for high availability for automation systems.
• Ensures that disaster recovery (DR) infrastructure are placed and tested in Orpic plants for automation systems includes physical and virtualized servers like Cluster, Resource Pools and High Availability, Distributed Resource Scheduler (DRS), VMware Storage APIs, multi-pathing and VMware Site Recovery Manager.
• Ensures all the automation and critical systems are patched & upgraded as per OEM approved best practices release for all Hardware & Software Components involved: Storage/Servers Firmware Upgrade, OS Patching and VMware Update Manager.
• Ensures physical and virtualized servers backups, archives and Image backups are configured on daily, weekly and monthly basis according to data retention policy of Sohar plants.
• Ensure all automation systems performance (physical and virtualized servers) is monitored on daily basis for traffic and system health status.
• Ensures Microsoft Technologies like SQL, DC, Active Directory, TS, FTS, SRS, System Center Suit, DNS, DFS and KMS are placed and maintained in Sohar plants for automation systems.
• Ensures to support VMware ESXi, Hyper-V, Physical to virtual (P2V), Linux and Oracle platform OS and applications.
• Contribute to operational security through effective and reliable system hardening.
• Develop specification and scope of work for new control systems infrastructure (physical server or virtualization technologies) to be installed based on requirement and support execution of related project.
• Carries out physical server, client, VMware hosts and software preventive maintenance including upgrades during planned shutdown.
• Plan and execute assessments, audit and generate reports based on log analysis.
• Provide technical inputs for evaluation of bids related to control systems servers and VMware infrastructure.

Role Purpose :
Planning, scheduling, coordination & monitoring activities for routine and shutdown maintenance works to ensure maximum plant availability by optimizing the cost and resource utilization.
Job Description
• Receive, review and analyse all maintenance work request order in Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS).
• Conduct site visits & discuss with concerned work originators to estimate the exact scope of works for the planned maintenance activities.
• Attends the regular planning & operation scheduling meetings and provide schedule reports.
• Determines resources requirements (manpower, equipment, tools, and lifting equipment) and works sequences for maintenance jobs, and create request for any additional required resources.
• Schedule work orders for regular corrective, preventive & predictive planned maintenance and finalize maintenance priorities as per scope of work.
• Prepares 14 days rolling plan and one weekly look-ahead schedule.
• Update planned maintenance activities in the system (SAP) and verification of all resources for maintenance jobs.
• Review maintenance backlog / schedule compliance and provide solutions to catch up delays.
• Assist in coordinating routine maintenance requirements & major shutdowns activities including preparation of detailed specifications for contracting.
• Verification of issued material against all the planned and ensures material reconciliation after maintenance close out.
• Intimate for creation of new stock entries and follow up material requisitions with respective departments for all type of maintenance.
• Review of job plans in SAP & participate in improvements based on the actuals.
Knowledge Experience & Qualifications:
• Minimum Qualifications for this position is Technical Diploma in Engineering or similar.
• Total experience of 8 years in maintenance planning & 5 years of relevant experience as a Senior Maintenance Planner role (Oil & Gas / Petrochemical or Refinery Plant experience preferred).
• Knowledge of :
• Computerized Maintenance Management Systems (CMMS)
• Expertise in SAP- PM Module.
