Job Description
POSITION TITLE: Maintenance TechnicianLOCATION: Odessa, TX NES Global Talent is a leading global technical recruitment company providing professional contract and permanent staff to a diverse world-wide client base within the oil & gas industry. Our client, a midstream company looking to hire a Maintenance Technician on a direct hire basis based in the Odessa, TX.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES/ACCOUNTABILITIES
- Responsible for inspection, disassembly, repair, machining, reassembly of cylinder assembly, heads, and engine/compressor components.
- Responsible for operating lathes, presses, milling machines, grinders, ovens and overhead cranes and forklifts
- Responsible for parts procurement and warehouse activities
- Responsible for completion of work and failure reports
- Responsible for reading and understanding drawings and specifications
- Responsible for using micrometers and calipers
- Responsible for machine setup and operation to obtain close tolerances and alignment of machined parts
- Minimum High School Diploma or Equivalent
- Minimum of 5 years of trade school or equipment shop experience
- Possess and maintain a valid driver’s license to include a safe driving record satisfactory to the company.
- Ability to generate CNC programs from blueprints to produce finished parts
- Ability to grind tools as needed
- Ability to Use Geometric Dimension and Tolerance as specified
