J Resources is an Indonesian owned, intermediate gold producer, as measured by global output. We produce ~200,000oz per annum, derived mainly from our operating Indonesian assets. We operate, mine and understand low grade-gold deposits and heap leach systems.

As a result of the rapid expansion, we are currently looking for qualified candidates to fill the following roles for our mining operations located in Gorontalo and North Sulawesi:
1. Manager – Supply Chain Management
RESPONSIBILITIES
• To establish a supplier database system with product/material specifications, historical prices, alternative suppliers, etc and to guide subordinates on keeping the system updated and sharing relevant data with the procurement team, as requested.
• To build and maintain strong relationships with major suppliers to obtain competitive quotations on product/material prices, prompt delivery and payment terms & conditions favorable to the company.
• To establish guidelines and define checklists for assessment of sub-contractor and to oversee pre-qualification checks on sub-contractors to evaluate critical parameters such as safety performance, market reputation, credit-worthiness, etc.
• To identify the key expense items on the project and to guide subordinates to brainstorm and contribute to ideas for cost-optimization across the expense items.
• To guide subordinate in creating and updating the database of alternative products/suppliers with details such as specifications, product costs, delivery costs, unit of measure, delivery lead times, etc.; and to analyses the same to identify best possible product/supplier for procurement on the project
• To coordinate with the relevant technical teams in J Resources or externally (such as third party consultants) to ensure technical compliance of products and services procured.
• To conduct negotiations with sub-contractors and suppliers for payment timelines and other terms & conditions to align the same with payment terms agreed upon with client.
REQUIREMENTS
• Bachelor degree in Industrial Engineering, Management, Finance/Accounting, Economics or related disciplines
• 5-8 year/s work experience in in inventory management, procurement and logistics management (1-3 year/s experience in managerial role).
• Good knowledge of commercial aspects such as bonds, insurances, etc.
• Familiar with supply chain concepts and processes and budgeting and contracting
• Experience working at mining industry is preferred.
2. Manager – External Relations & Security (Site based)
RESPONSIBILITIES
• To manage corporate image promotion programs, initiate & maintain good relations with government, TNI (Indonesian National Army) & Indonesian Policy, media, community institutions & other related parties in order to support the company’s operational activities.
• To identify and circulate new government regulations to the affected departments, to solve various cases & claims within the company (including land, employment, licensing / permitting, etc.), to convey the compulsory company infrastructure, organize the company’s licensing / permitting, analyze the government policies, plans and structures so that we the company can avoid any external obstacles which may slow down the company’s operations.
• To maintain a safe & orderly situation, to monitor the availability of supervision within the company, To follow up on security and order disturbances including criminal investigations in the company area, to report on risk management in order to create a safe & controlled working environment
REQUIREMENTS
• Bachelor degree in Law, Social Science or Communication.
• 5-8 year/s work experience in external relations (1-3 year/s experience in managerial role)
• Experience working at mining industry is preferred.
• Excellent communication, organizational and project management skills.
• Experience working with diverse cultural backgrounds and willingness to travel.
3. Superintendent – Mine Operations
RESPONSIBILITIES
• To coordinate mining plans & targets with relevant departments; to manage the implementation of mining in accordance with the plan & target; to ensure the transportation & placement of materials by heavy equipment according to its category; to ensure drilling sites and drill unit allocation for drilling, and to review the drill results so that the production targets are achieved.
• To coordinate materials to be destroyed with relevant departments; to ensure the transportation & placement of materials by heavy equipment according to its category; to ensure allocation of units according to the need; to ensure the result of material destruction on target, mixed with lime, and then transferred to HLP so that production target is reached.
• To ensure land clearing of areas to be mined; to make sure the mine drainage flows into the designated shelter; to do mine road maintenance; to ascertain the target of tires age are achieved in order to support production activities, and environmental damage can be controlled.
REQUIREMENTS
• Bachelor degree in Mine Engineering.
• 5-8 year experience in Gold Mine Engineering or Operations is preferred (with 1-3 year/s in managerial role).
• Deep knowledge upon practical application of mining production operation & safety legal REQUIREMENTS
• POM holder and have extensive on-site mining experience with a capability in operating heavy mobile equipment
4. Superintendent – Mine Technical Services
RESPONSIBILITIES
• To analyze & review the mine plan which includes mine schedule design and production for both short & long term so that the design & mine production plans are in accordance with the specified work plan.
• To ensure that all mining works meet the eligibility standards of the Geotechnical Aspect so that losses due to mine wall structure failures can be controlled.
• To review and ensure the drilling & blasting plan are in accordance with short-term plan to ensure its availability for drilling & blasting plan for field operations.
• To ensure the survey activities are running well so all parts requiring survey support are well served accommodated.
REQUIREMENTS
• Bachelor degree in Mine Engineering.
• 5-8 year experience in Gold Mine Engineering or Operations is preferred (with 1-3 year/s in managerial role).
• Having POM certification.
• Familiar with Surpac and Minesced.
5. Superintendent – Environmental
RESPONSIBILITIES
• To prepare reports related to environmental management and monitoring and other reports required in environmental regulations / assessments related to environmental permits and to ensure the implementation of environmental protection regulations.
• To identify and analyze compliance with environmental management regulations, to conduct regulatory socialization to relevant departments, to prepare environmental management and monitoring reports and make initiatives for improvement efforts in accordance with regulations related to environmental management;
• To develop campaign programs for employees, contractors and business partners in order to mitigate negative impacts from mining operations. This responsibility shall include creating an environmental campaign program plan, coordinating the implementation of environmental campaign programs, evaluating program implementation and the success of environmental campaigns so that business partners and employees have awareness and concern to the environment.
• To compile and monitor the environmental management and rehabilitation programs so that they are in accordance with environmental documents and related legislation.
REQUIREMENTS
• Bachelor degree in Environmental Engineering, Biology or Forestry.
• 5-8 year experience in environmental field at mining industry is preferred (with 1-3 year/s in managerial role).
• Having POP or POM certification is preferred.
• Good knowledge about waste management and mining reclamation.
6. Superintendent - CSR
RESPONSIBILITIES
• To supervise and implement CSR and community development programs and initiatives.
• To maintain good relationships with local community and government
• To engage with public awareness and education to generate supports from local stakeholders to mine operations and development
• To establish mutual understanding and trust with local NGOs and agencies
• To be responsible for Preparation of regular CSR Reporting
REQUIREMENTS
• Bachelor degree in any discipline.
• 3 - 5 years of CSR experience in mining industry is preferred (with 1-3 year/s in managerial role).
• Excellence knowledge & proven experiences community based development projects.
• Proven Competency in community participation approaches and demonstrated ability to build cohesive teams and to achieve goals through teamwork.
7. Superintendent – Security (Site based)
RESPONSIBILITIES
• To coordinate security operation functions in a project to ensure consistency of operations at each security location throughout the specific operational area to which he has been assigned to.
• To assist the External Relations & Security Manager in the development of standardized Security procedures for implementation across the company projects/facilities
• To coordinate the monitoring of work procedures and schedules for Security Coordinators and Officers to ensure Implement J Resources standardized Security procedures on the site as well as develop site specific security related policies and procedures where necessary
• To manage and oversee the delivery of services on site by the contracted Security Service Provider.
• To compile and issue scheduled (Monthly Security Report) and on occurrence
• To develop continuous improvement and optimization activities in order to ensure optimum efficiencies in ongoing basis.
• To enforce safe and environmentally friendly working procedures in order to ensure the excellent safety record and encourage employee participation in health and safety matters in order to comply with statutory REQUIREMENTS and HSE expectation.
REQUIREMENTS
• Bachelor degree in Law, Indonesian National Army (TNI) or POLRI retired is preferable.
• 5-8 year/s work experience in security operations (1-3 year/s experience in managerial role)
• Experience working at mining industry is preferred.
• Deep knowledge upon security and/or law enforcement related discipline
8. Superintendent – Permit & Land Acquisition
RESPONSIBILITIES
• To facilitate the process of handling and fulfilling the completeness of the permit and obligations in accordance with Indonesian laws and regulations.
• To coordinate the process of socialization, communication, identification, verification, validation, negotiation, compensation and documentation of land acquisition activities for the benefit of Company Operation.
• To develop strategies on government relations in line with company policies and to represent company in dealing with government officers so that all matters related to the government are handled properly in supporting company business objectives and in the end it will create such “no interruption” environment to company business
REQUIREMENTS
• Bachelor degree in Law, Communication or Technical Engineering.
• 5-8 year/s work experience in community relations, media relations, land acquisition and permit (1-3 year/s experience in managerial role)
• Experience working at mining industry is preferred.
9. Superintendent – Procurement
RESPONSIBILITIES
• To coordinate the data completion and data integrity of supplier and pricing database in order to obtain quality products at best commercial terms negotiable in the market.
• To review and monitor all purchase orders in order to fulfill the demand of goods which are required to perform company’s core activities effectively.
• To monitor the alignment of change on requirement with the procurement process in order to ensure effective consolidation and centralization.
• To monitor the update of purchase order tracking system on a regular basis in order to ensure accurate tracking in terms of goods delivery, invoices received and payment made.
• To develop continuous improvement and optimization activities in order to ensure optimum efficiencies in ongoing basis.
• To ensure sufficient competent technical resources are available in order to effectively perform procurement and to coordinate with logistics and warehouse function in order to optimize the cost, price and timeliness of delivery of purchased materials.
• To consolidate reports from subordinates in order to ensure the accurate presentation of daily, weekly and monthly reports.
REQUIREMENTS
• Bachelor degree in any disciplines, preferably in mechanical or industrial engineering.
• 5-8 year/s work experience in inventory control, warehouse and procurement management with a capability in monitoring direct staff or subcontractors (1-3 year/s experience in managerial role).
• Deep knowledge upon procurement operation & safety legal REQUIREMENTS
• Experience working at mining industry is preferred.
10. Superintendent – Logistics
RESPONSIBILITIES
• To collect forecasts from all departments, to review and make adjustments to forecast analysis results, and agree on a purchase plan for performance availability as expected.
• To review needs and complete minimum warehouse infrastructure standards, implements the 5R process, coordinates PST (Perpetual Stock Take) activities to keep inventory in proper condition and avoid discrepancies.
• To control the conformity of the carrier’s packing, lifting equipment, and documentation in accordance with the established standards, and to recommend local forwarders for distributed goods in accordance with lead time and in good condition.
• To review needs and complete minimum jetty infrastructure standards, monitoring loading and unloading activities at the jetty, and mitigating and addressing congestion issues so ship schedules are in line with the plan and no demurrage occurs.
REQUIREMENTS
• Bachelor degree in any disciplines, preferably in mechanical or industrial engineering.
• 5-8 year/s work experience in inventory control, warehouse and procurement management with a capability in monitoring direct staff or subcontractors (1-3 year/s experience in managerial role).
• Deep knowledge upon procurement operation & safety legal REQUIREMENTS
• Experience working at mining industry is preferred.
