Our Client, a large scale Oil & Gas Company operating with various international Upstream and Downstream projects require an experienced professional to join their Project Engineering team based in Kuala Lumpur Malaysia.
Execute and implement the specific mechanical engineering activities for Flexi PE as to ensure that the designs of the facilities are in compliance with the relevant engineering standards.
Key Responsibilities include:
Drive project work activities relating to mechanical during the relevant project phases by evaluating available options and recommend the most cost effective technical solutions to be implemented to ensure project technical integrity is met whilst satisfying the project and operational needs.
Drive verification of CONTRACTORS’/ LICENSORS’ mechanical works during the relevant project phase by performing review and/or audit on CONTRACTORS/LICENSORS and identifying and resolving non-compliance to ensure that project documentation are available and all non-compliances during defect liability period are resolved.
Monitor and execute engineering standardization for mechanical in Flexi PE by integrating and aligning engineering requirements to ensure compliance to engineering standards.
Participate as member in ITB technical evaluation and clarification for mechanical engineering by providing and consolidating input in ITB development and to evaluate contractors’ proposal for Flexi PE to ensure the engineering implementation is within budgeted cost, quality and schedule.
Ensure compliance to an effective project governance by establishment of effective system, documenting deviations and justifications for mechanical engineering work to ensure all engineering activities are meeting project specifications, international design codes and standards, governance, good engineering practices and statutory requirements.
Execute mechanical engineering activities for operational readiness of Flexi PE by utilizing the strategies on the development of engineering and maintenance resources/systems to ensure effective commercial operation of the facilities.
A degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field with minimum 5 years experience in oil and gas industry. Has deep technical expertise in related Petrochemical plant with sufficient exposure to execute capital project.
